Urban refuge is the need to become a home, to contain public spaces and keep them in the corners of the walls.

Home is embraced by the cubic kilometers of air outside and that's why I only feel comfortable when I feel like I can sleep from the shell inside and wake up in the arms of the street.

An apartment located in the Rio Vermelho neighborhood, in Salvador, Bahia, and the need to meet the simple and sophisticated lifestyle of its owner and sole resident.

 

The solution was to integrate the environments of the social nucleus, being living, dining, kitchen and balcony, where good meetings between friends can take place.

 

The second bedroom was opened, creating a hybrid environment, called a studio. The owner can work, study and at the same time act as a dormitory for eventual guests.

 

Cross ventilation and ample natural lighting were basic parameters for the decisions adopted.

 

A graffiti panel fills the "L"-shaped wall, which touches the circulation, giving the apartment's urban characteristics.
